Drone battery repair

The workstation that makes drone batteries repairable.

Dengera is a device-and-interface package that measures agricultural drone batteries cell by cell, balances them and records every repair. We built it for repair workshops.

The problem

A battery rarely wears out; it loses its balance.

  1. 01

    Cells do not age evenly

Under high current, cells in the middle of the pack run hotter. Cells age at different rates and the voltage gap between them grows with every flight.

  2. 02

The pack’s own balancing falls behind

The passive balancing of the pack’s built-in management system cannot close the gap that fast field charging opens.

  3. 03

    Capacity is cut off early

When the weakest cell reaches its lower limit early, the system cuts power to protect the pack. Energy left in the pack cannot be used, and the battery is scrapped.

When the weakest cell reaches its limit, the pack cuts off; energy in the other cells is left unused.

How it works

A repair in three steps.

  1. 1

    Open the pack

Open the battery cover and disconnect the cell block from the pack’s own board.

  2. 2

    Connect the harness

Connect the cells directly to the device with the Dengera harness.

  3. 3

    Start balancing

Select the battery in the interface and start balancing. The screen shows each cell’s voltage and the state of the job.

Features

The screen shows only what the device measured.

01

Cell-by-cell measurement

Each cell’s voltage is followed separately; the colors come from the device’s own protection limits.

02

A verified screen

A field without data says “no data”. A command does not count as done until its effect appears in the measurement.

03

Repair file

Every battery, session and operation is recorded. The record exports and can be shown to the drone owner.

04

Works offline

It works without a connection in the workshop; records sync to the cloud when the connection returns.

05

Pack profiles

Ready-made profiles for common agricultural drone battery models. New profiles are distributed centrally.

06

Workshop license

The license belongs to the workshop, not the person; several technicians work on one record.

Interface

A screen that tells the technician the next step.

Live data, the repair file, pack profiles and device settings on one screen. A healthy pack is colorless; color appears only when something is wrong.

Who it is for

One workshop, three people.

  • Workshop owner

Offers a new service by repairing batteries that would otherwise be scrapped.

  • Technician

The screen says the state and the next step in plain words; it does not expect battery-chemistry expertise.

  • Drone owner

Never sees the screen but reads the repair record, and sees what was measured and done.
